Meet Dave
My love for pitching started at a very young age. I've been pitching competitively since I was 9 years old.

Actually, since I was 5 years old, if you count throwing socks to (at) my brothers during our living room games and much to my Mom's dismay, the kitchen too. I first realized I had a strong arm and the benefits of it, when I was 9. I threw a wiffle-ball that I was aiming at my older brother; right through the glass in our front door. I ran away and didn't come home for hours because I figured I was in big trouble. When my Dad came home from a long day of work, I tiptoed thru the front door ready for my punishment. My Dad took me to the spot at the edge of the driveway where I threw it from and as I got ready to be lectured and spanked, he just looked at the distance I threw it from and said "Wow," patted my head and went back in the house. My first taste of the rewards of pitching.

I pitched all thru Little League, but I didn't concentrate solely on pitching until 10th grade at Chatsworth High School when I made the All West Valley League Team. By the time I was a senior in High School I had grown to over 6ft. tall and started throwing right around 90 mph.

Scouts started coming to my games and calling my house, which I might add, was pretty good for the ego. Unfortunately, I strained ligaments in my elbow and missed most of my senior season. After rehabbing my arm, I went to Moorpark J.C. where I made All-Conference as a freshman.

During my sophomore season I was being recruited by U.C. Santa Barbara, U.C.Irvine, Gonzaga, and Cal State L.A., where I ended up. After first injuring my elbow in High School, I re-injured it a few more times thru my college career, which put an end to my professional dreams. Although my career didn't turn out the way I dreamed about when I was a kid, I still had a great time and learned a lot along the way, which I will pass on to anyone else who loves pitching as much as I do.

I have been involved coaching Little League for many years and still pitch in an Adult League in Las Vegas. Although my pitching career was derailed by injuries, my experience from years of pitching competitively will be a huge benefit to any young pitcher that wants to reach their full potential. I have a vast array of knowledge about what training aids build arm strength and help prevent injuries. Everything that I have learned about rehabbing, such as my elbow problems, will be extremely helpful in preventing injuries and having a long and healthy career.
